Skills Course Outcomes
- Reflect upon the importance of strategically aligning resources to support the mission and vision and ensure the school’s long-term sustainability.
- Select resources to serve as “primer documents” for developing a school budget including: a financial checklist, sample budget presentations for faculty, budget development calendar, comparison of types of school budgets, and a glossary of budget terms.
- Rethink the importance of communication and transparency around issues of finance.

The Skills course was originally developed by JOE STUCKER, who has 34 years of overseas school administrative experience, 12 as a high school principal, 19 as a Head of five schools including American International School of Guangzhou (China), Vientiane International School (Laos), and Academia Cotopaxi (Ecuador) and two years working in Southeast Asia as a consultant for a US-based accrediting agency. It was updated by Dr. Alan Knobloch in 2023.
